Honor Society

Mission

The mission of the AASHI Honor Society is to recognize, reward, and encourage academic excellence in the study of Healthcare Data Analytics.

Goals

To encourage interest in academic preparation for careers in Healthcare Data Analytics.

Promote activities that elevate the standards, ideals, competence, and ethics of individuals preparing for careers in Healthcare Data Analytics.

Provide financial assistance through scholarships to outstanding students pursuing academic degrees that prepare individuals for careers in Healthcare Data Analytics.

Recognize, by granting honorary memberships, individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the profession.

AASHI Requirements

AASHI Membership

Membership in the AASHI Honor Society is available to individuals who meet the national and local criteria of the organization and are accepted and initiated into a collegiate chapter. Eligible members include students, faculty, healthcare executives, administrators, and others who contribute to the healthcare data analytics field.

If you are a student interested in joining the AASHI Honor Society and your program has an existing chapter, please reach out to your Program Director for further details. If your program does not have an AASHI Chapter, contact Dr. Shuhan He, for more information.

 

Minimum Standards for Students

Undergraduate members must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, with at least 18 credit hours completed after officially declaring a healthcare data analytics major at an AASHI Member Program. Graduate members must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.5, based on a minimum of 18 credit hours of graduate coursework at an AASHI Member Program.
